Woman fraudster arrested

A woman was arrested by Mirihana police who had defrauded around three million rupees promising jobs at the Ports Authority, Petroleum Corporation and Sri Lanka Cricket Board. The 55 year old woman has told eighteen job seekers that she is a relative of Minister Wimal Weerawansa and the jobs can be given through him and collected Rs. 150,000 from each applicant. Minister Wimal Weerawansa himself had got to know the fraud and informed Mirihana Police.(TimesOnline)
